I work end-to-end, from early discovery through development handoff.

I partner with product managers, engineers, and researchers to move from assumptions to validated solutions. I've done this inside large organizations and with early-stage teams still figuring out what to build.

Selected work

AI & Automation

• Led end-to-end development of an AI-powered alt-text generator for a national standards organization, helping technical authors describe complex diagrams that traditional approaches couldn’t handle. Led the product from problem framing through prompt engineering to delivery.
• Designed conversational UI experiences for iHeartRadio’s Amazon Alexa voice skill during the early days of voice interface design, prototyping new interaction concepts for a leading online radio platform.
• Won 1st place in the 2019 Alexa Cup Canada, leading a team through ideation and strategic planning to create a multimodal car rental experience. The proof of concept combined voice interaction with visual displays to guide users through the entire rental journey.

Research & Discovery

• Built a national standards organization’s first UX research practice from the ground up, shifting product decisions from assumptions to direct customer insights. Targeted redesigns drove measurable conversion improvements.
• Designed Product Thinking Workshops that became a framework for Meta’s New Product Experimentation (NPE) program, supporting incubation teams moving from hackathon concepts to validated prototypes.
• Coached four cross-functional teams (PM, design, engineering, research) over six months through 0-to-1 discovery sprints, helping them structure undefined ideas into testable prototypes.

Design Systems & Accessibility

• Created a national standards organization’s first design system, setting the benchmark for consistent, accessible products across their digital product portfolio and significantly reducing development time and rework.
• I also work part-time as an accessibility analyst with Fable (opens in new tab) to help product teams identify cognitive accessibility barriers and improve usability for neurodivergent users.

Prototyping & Validation

• Prototyped and field-tested a rideshare concept in New York City for a major automotive company’s innovation lab, building mobile interactions tested with real users on the street.
• Built working prototypes for a boundary-pushing media company known for experimental storytelling and youth-focused content. Explored real-time audience interaction concepts for live television broadcasts, incorporating mobile experiences and augmented reality to envision the future of participatory live TV.

Spatial Computing & Innovation

• Prototyped hardware and software solutions with a premium audio company, developing applied research that led to a patent (US-11592304-B2 (opens in new tab)) for micromobility safety innovation.
• Co-authored research published at ACM CHI 2014 (opens in new tab) on spatial computing usability, exploring novel interaction patterns to reduce motion sickness in virtual reality, a common barrier to adoption.
• Spatial computing projects have been exhibited in North America and Europe, and featured in New York Times, TIME, WIRED, TechCrunch, The Verge, Engadget, GIZMODO, and Polygon.
• Designed and directed 16 spatial computing projects across the consumer electronics, semiconductor, healthcare, automotive, and photonics industries; balanced technical complexity with intuitive UX to ensure accessibility for first-time users of emerging technology.
